The vehicle's chassis has undergone a major revolution, adopting a power pack, drive train, tracks, and suspension components that are common with the M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle. It has also been upgraded with a 675-horsepower V903 engine and an improved HMPT-800 transmission. This robust power upgrade endows it with superior mobility, enabling it to rapidly advance alongside M1 Abrams main battle tanks and M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicles in complex battlefield environments.
In terms of firepower, the M109A7 retains the classic 39-caliber 155mm M284 howitzer. When firing rocket-assisted projectiles or extended-range precision-guided munitions, its maximum range can exceed 30 kilometers. Meanwhile, thanks to a highly digitized fire control architecture, the vehicle possesses exceptional "shoot-and-scoot" capabilities, significantly enhancing its battlefield survivability against enemy counter-battery fire.
MENG releases the TS-061 1/35 U.S. M109A7 Paladin 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer plastic model kit. Once assembled, this model is about 308mm long (with storage baskets installed behind the turret bustle), 102mm wide, and 109mm high (to the top of the RCWS). It faithfully replicates the imposing appearance of the M109A7 Paladin. The gun barrel can elevate and depress, and its travel lock is movable. Options are available to install either a remote-controlled weapon station or an M2 machine gun mount. This kit features a realistic and movable torsion bar suspension system and cement-free workable double-pin tracks. It also includes precision PE parts and provides three paint schemes.
https://www.jadlamracingmodels.com/products/meng-ts-061-m109a7-paladin-155mm-self-propelled-howitzer-1-35-model-kit
