These trainsets use active tilting technology that allows them to lean into curves, enabling higher speeds on conventional railway lines while maintaining passenger comfort. This made the design especially suitable for routes combining classic main lines with limited high-speed infrastructure.\nNew Pendolinos are typically built in seven-car formations with four powered cars and three trailers, seating around 430 passengers. They are designed for speeds of up to 250 km\/h and are equipped for multi-system operation, depending on the variant.
